Translation Notes for Skits 7-9

Skit 7:

Yes. The speech is taken almost straight from Pokemon's Team Rocket. However, the new characters parody various anime. Therefore, it's allowed! And will be noted of in here.
Kitsune means fox. And Ohkami means wolf. These characters are loosely based on my friends who go by the same names. NOTE: Origionally, we thought that Oakami was the correct spelling. However, Dragon Knights informs us that it isn't. Yet, since Oakami has decided to continue to be called Oakami rather than Ohkami, we will keep Oakami as Oakami. You are welcome for the added confusion.
Magical Touch Miracle Light is from Episode 3 of Jungle wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu. All I'll say about the episode is Chest Hair. That should be more than enough to spike your interest.
The Touga (too-guh) and pouncing are what my friends do.
The Shikon no Tama is from InuYasha. A friend who watches the english dub more than I do told me that it really means Jewl of Four Souls. Or something like that. Someone who knows, please tell me.
Ilapallazzo is from Excel Saga. It's a great anime. It parodies other animes too. It's beautiful. Anyways, you should see it. Also, all the episodes end with the episode number, title, and "This mission...." and then almost always "FAILED!"

Skit 8:

Ayu says ano. then hai. then says dai- before getting cut off. Ano is the equivalent of um... uh... or something of the sort. Hai means yes. And what she's trying to say is daiski (sp?) meaning she like's mike.
Nihonjin means Japanese person. Ayu is saying she is Japanese.
No lo comprendo. John obviously can't speak Spanish...
Ayu then stutters out, atashi, anatawa, and then aish- before being cut off again. In Japan, watashi means I, but girls and boys also use different words later on in life. Men tend to use boku when they're young, and ore (I think) when they're older. Girls say Atashi! Then, again, aishiteru, means I love you. or something to that effect.
The appearance speech from Kitsune and Ohkami is from Revolutionary Girl Utena. Lesbian fencers. Yay.
Dare da. I believe it means: Who are you?
Tuga and Juri are male and female (respectively) characters from Utena.
Nani means what.
Shuusei means stop.
Spirit Gun is an obvious reference from Yu Yu Hakusho.
Again, in Utena, when two classmates are dueling....don't ask, when they duel, a unseen choir sings songs that make no sense in Japanese, or in English. This is a parody of that.
The UFO catchers. In Japan, like we have arcade machines, they have arcade malls practically. They also have UFO catcher machines, where you can use a mechanical arm to grab at various prizes. On why the UFO catcher is there, when talk show hosts leave stage for various reasons, they are often replaced by a cut out or doll. Hence the UFO catcher. Thanks to Excel vol. 3 DVD for the info.
Kitsune turning into a panda when he hits the lake is a parody of Ranma 1/2 a story of a guy who turns into a girl and his/her dad turns into a panda. Cold water changes them, hot water changes them back.
Hell Mishima is from All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku.
Don't worry about the water. It's all foreshadowing as to who the female voice is.
The whole John thingy I'm doing from now on, is a parody of Pedro from Excel, who has the worst luck ever.

Skit 9:

Babbit is a white bat...thingey from Kodomo no Omocha. He randomly comments on what's going on, offers information, and sometimes interacts with the characters.
Babbit says 'Episode 9 Switch On!' In anime, whenever someone turns on a machine or lever for the first time, more often than not, I've heard them say "Switch on!". It's strange.
Ayu says "Eto" "Maiku" and "Daiski"(sp?) Eto is another word for 'uhm,' 'uh,' or 'er,'. Maiku is how you say Mike phoneticly in Japanese. Daiski (sp?) is saying she like's Mike. Has a crush on him. Etc.
Kitsune pops out of a trashcan. Disturbing? Yes. But it is a parody of 'Icchan' from Angelic Layer, a character who pops out of different places saying "Icchan go boom!" to make his enterance, and scare the main character.
Never ever say "...like nothing could go wrong..." Ever. I mean it. Don't.
Mike gets a nosebleed thinking about Ayu. When anime or manga characters are aroused, this is usually shown by a nose bleed. Go figure.
No. Oakami's touga attacks do not teleport, but Kitsune's patented Capture Pounce can.
If you don't understand 'All your friend are belong to us.' or the scene from this skit involving John, please, go play Zero Wing, and we will never speak of this again.
3J is from a REALLY bad 4 panel comic series I drew out of boredom in Driver's Ed. You don't want to know more than that.
3J is based on my friend EJ who used to live up here, but has since moved to Florida. Where do I live? If you don't already know, then you don't need to know.
A n00b is someone who is a beginner, this type of n00b is someone who thinks they know everything even though they have no idea what they're doing. Online, there is a third type of n00b, those that type in REALLY BAD L33T. And really bad leet reminds me of the comic series I did over that summer...
Mike's Fantasy World: Don't ask. There isn't an answer.
I don't know how many people understand Blonde Girl, but her quirk is basicly that she never sees who she is really talking to, and assumes they're another person, who she then names and talks to. I really don't like this character.
The narrator doesn't show up again....we have an Announcer, but not a narrator.
In case I haven't said this before, Taskuete means help, or help me. You'll get used to the Japanese eventually...
Just assume that the ship imploded for a reason. Even though there isn't one.
